Chico And The Plan

We cooked up a scheme to skate on Sunday. I vaguely remembered a hot hill coming up out of our old, highly classified tennis score from years back - I had bum-chucked it on a tiny skate, clocked in the Jeep by Tyler at 70km/h. Could it be attacked properly? Could it even be found?
Chico and I loaded up, burned out into the 33 degree heat and scored like you can't be told.
GREAT hill. ZERO traffic. Wicked smooth run-out parking lot (empty) in which I could park the cooler - I mean, truck. At one point we even got a tow up the hill by some curious kids in a Bug. But here's the deal sealer -
There was a PERFECT, CLEAN, COOL, SWIMMING POOL right next to the truck. We hopped the fence and barged the place for like half an hour. Ridiculous. Is it summer yet?
Then down to the beach to seek out Wrennette. Ol' Curly was M.I.A, but we gripped proper pints and wings at Castro's.
That was a good day, Man...

Even though I refreshed my back sprain doing a circa '86 finger-flip sweeper on my 42-incher. That one was for you, V.

Actually, can I just say something about the Skull Skates Mini Souldier? Possibly the greatest skateboard available to man right now. It's the missing link you didn't think you needed. Consider it. PD's got us covered.

We called our secret spot Bushwood.

A Seafaring Life Begins

"Now, see, Ethan, you didn't flake the Main tightly the whole way along. Your folds have to be about the same size... that's why it's all falling off the boom like that."

Evil E and Dude began work on their tans and calluses, and learned the rules of the rigging.

France Wouldn't Have Him.

Chico's back in town. Here he is with Burgers and The Creature about 3 years ago celebrating...

...Celebrating.

I now have one more person to longboard with! Posted by Picasa
